Lekhnath: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, emphasized the importance of adhering to the party's principles while participating in practical politics. In his inaugural address at the first regional conference of the NC House of Representatives regional executive committee, Kaski-1, held in Lekhnath, Pokhara, he underscored the need for the Nepali Congress to maintain its independent political identity and compete in upcoming elections without compromising its core principles.

Dr. Koirala expressed the party's commitment to building a society free from corruption and encouraged NC members to be accountable to the citizens and devoted to public service. He further urged the current coalition government to address the issue of rising inflation and take effective measures to mitigate it. "The current coalition government should prioritize anti-corruption efforts and the establishment of good governance," he asserted.
